As you may have heard, Santa Clara County will be opening the COVID vaccine eligibility to include workers in Education and Childcare beginning February 28, 2021. If you would like to schedule your vaccine, please go to sccFreeVax.org. You can also call your Primary Care Provider/Medical Insurance Group for more information.


Community Care Licensing and Santa Clara County Office of Education have not mandated the COVID vaccines at this time, but this could change in the near future. In the meantime, could you please send me your proof of vaccination so that I can have it in your personnel file in preparation for any possible mandates?

Due to a Santa Clara County Health Department order, effective tomorrow, January 6, we will no longer be able to allow access to break rooms for anything other than food and beverage preparation. Please do not use the break rooms for eating, resting, or conversations/meetings with others. If you are using the microwaves, refrigerators, or beverage machines, please limit access to that room to one person at a time. Once your meal or beverage is prepared, you can go to one of the following:

  • An empty classroom (only one person per room). Available classrooms are S4, H3, all classrooms in Building L except for L8, all of Building V except rooms being used by teachers for distance learning (check with Ms Geraldine or Ms Boi).

  • Outside to one of our picnic tables, provided that the weather allows. Only one person per table, please.

  • Your car. Please avoid inviting others to join you.

  • Your classroom, provided that you maintain proper social distance from others.

  • The S, H, L, or V cafeterias, provided that you are the only person there.

Please also make sure that if you use a classroom or one of the cafeterias, that you clean and disinfect your eating area before leaving.

Policy Reminder

As you are working from home, please remember that you must still follow Rainbow Montessori policies and procedures. If you are going to be out sick for the day, you must call the front office at least two hours before your normal shift time, as well as inform your director. If you would like to request vacation, please do so by completing the Request & Authorization form and submitting in a timely manner.
